Job Description:

The Software Engineer Analyst II will fulfill the role Configuration Manager of application code for COBOL, .Net, ABAP. etc. Responsibilities will include source code management, code promotion from Development to QA to Production, development work-stream and branch management, and governance processes. This person will also be engaged in Release Management activities as they pertain to application development.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized training) in Information Technology (IT) or related discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of CA-Endeavor, Panvalet, PVCS, Clearcase

  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter, and within a team environment.

  • Create, maintain and automate build processes using associated technologies.

  • Schedule and build code to facilitate the timely release of deployment packages for testing purposes.

  • Monitor and maintain CM reporting systems and documentation to ensure systems functionality

  • Develop effective CM strategies and CM plans

  • Ensure proper archiving of releases

  • Strong organizational skills and process disciplines

  • 3 – 5 years relevant experience demonstrating progressive levels in programming activities and configuration management responsibilities

  • Strong command of system development life cycle methodology development processes, practices and artifacts.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills,

  • Knowledge of industry standards in development

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills working with QA, Deployment and IT team members

  • SAP experience a plus

  • Project Management skills a plus
