Job Description:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:	Seven years of experience in law enforcement or a related field. Police force and safety management experience. Ability to prepare reports, defend oneself and others, provide first aid, supervise personnel, and safely handle firearms. Red Cross CPR and first aid certification. Must have a valid Illinois state driver’s license. Good physical health, emotional stability, honesty, integrity, good judgment, dependability, be able to function well under pressure, and a neat appearance. Must be able to pass state mandated power test, and be able to work flexible hours.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:	Associate degree in law enforcement or one of the social sciences. Certification as a State of Illinois police officer. Experience as a police officer in a community college setting. Ability to interact well with students, faculty and staff. Able to communicate in Spanish. Must be able to demonstrate Morton College core values of truth, compassion, fairness, responsibility and respect.
JOB SUMMARY:	Maintains a safe and secure environment, and protect persons and property. Supervise personnel and coordinate activities during shift. Assist Director of Facilities in providing for a safe campus environment.
