The incumbent will be responsible for creating primary demand for Precedex®, a proprietary pharmaceutical used for intravenous sedation by direct detailing to multiple hospital-based clinicians including Anesthesiologists, General Surgeons, Cardio Thoracic Surgeons, Intensivists, Pulmonologists, Critical Care Nurses, and Pharmacists. In this key role, you will establish business relationships, influence decision makers, monitor and assess the competitive environment, achieve territory sales/business goals, and manage territory expenses. Travel is required 20%-30%.

Skills/Experience Education/CertificationMust possess a BS/BA, preferably in business/marketing, pharmacy, nursing, science, and/or other technical disciplines. 3-5 years successful sales experience in a hospital environment preferred. The position requires a high-energetic, persuasive and tenacious professional with the ability to learn and convey technical information to client base. Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communications skills needed. Critical care nursing background experience or sales experience in critical care environment preferred.
