Job Description:


As a member of the cars.com direct sales account Dealer Experience Group, this position is responsible for managing over 200 accounts, implement and managing new accounts within a given territory. The major elements of the job include providing ongoing account consultation and customer service via phone monthly to 100% of customer base. The Dealer Experience Consultant should be able to work along side the Sales Managers to assist in market growth. Your first commitment is ensuring that your accounts receive excellent service and ultimately continue as a cars.com customer.


Required Skills




  • Provide new Cars.com accounts with consultation and direction for implementing the online ad package




  • Provide ongoing consultation and support to cars.com customers
    Train dealer customers on products and tools




  • Reinforce the value of cars.com products and services




  • Consult new and current customers on how to be successful with online advertising




  • Manage several ongoing projects simultaneously including quality assurance and trouble shooting dealer issues




  • Create and review reports with Sales Managers




  • Monitor new dealer customer activity and red flag accounts




  • Track customer performance




  • Review reports to anticipate problems and point out successes




  • Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions




  • Keep current on industry and competitive trends




  • Resolve customer disputes and complaints




  • Up-sell other products by identifying needs and engaging the sales manager as necessary




Required Experience




  • Minimum of 3 years work experience




  • Detail-oriented approach and excellent organizational skills




  • Strong orientation to customer service




    • Listening




    • Professional phone demeanor




    • Writing




    • Ability to work cooperatively with other staff and departments




    • Ability to overcome objections




    • Entry level sales experience preferred




    • Experience using the Internet




    • Experience with Salesforce CRM software or equivalent CRM software Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook (or similar e-mail program)
