JOB DESCRIPTION
RCN Metro Optical Networks is seeking sales professionals with extensive industry experience and knowledge. In the role you will be asked to:
• Achieve sales productivity targets with assigned customers.
• Participate as required in all aspects of customer support.
• Maintain revenue forecasts for monthly and quarterly objectives.
• Maintain/grow current client relationships.
• Keep abreast of the competition and key industry trends.
• Help lead the Company’s lit fiber sales initiatives, with CLECS, IS, certificated carriers and businesses as assigned.
• Managing complex voice/data enterprise network accounts, involving Network infrastructure, network design and custom applications.
• Carrying out consultative selling, account planning and account Management with a strong emphasis on customer service.
• Synthesizing abstract concepts into solutions.
• Working closely with Project Management and Operations in pre-sale and post-sale activities.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience selling telecommunications services to Enterprise customers with proven track record of success in selling and managing accounts and building accounts via relationships and cold calling/prospecting activity;
• Must have a proven track record of building and executing sales strategies to penetrate, close, and manage business.
• Requires a professional demeanor with strong communications skills – verbal and written.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills a must.
• Entrepreneurial mind-set.
• Self-Starter.
• HS Diploma or equivalent a must.
