BSI Americas, the North American Market Leader for Quality Management Registration services, seeks a motivated Sales Engineer. The individual is expected to promote, articulate, and position the Entropy product to external customers as well as internal technical users and assisting with the customized sales process. The position will be home-based on the West Coast of the U.S.


 


Essential Responsibilities:


§   Development and delivery of product demonstrations (in person and remote)


§   Represent the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.


§   Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs


§   Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams


§   Able to travel throughout sales territory


§   Identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.


§  Articulate web-based software, related technology and product positioning to both business and technical users


§   Actively drive and mange the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products


§   Serve as the primary technical resource for the field sales force


 


Minimum requirements include a BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field. Three years relevant experience in vendor sales a must. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and strong user of MS PowerPoint and graphics applications - required. Familiarity with SalesForce.com software or equivalent, SAP and Point Global, helpful. Demonstrated experience positioning software solutions for EHS management, quality management or supply chain assessment preferred (www.bsi-entropy.com). Experienced with Spin Selling or Solution Selling, a plus. Software implementation, planning and ROI development are considered an asset. Familiarity of BSI’s management system products and line of business a plus (www.bsiamerica.com) preferred, but not required. The qualified individual should possess practical experience developing “proof of concept” demos and presenting remotely via web-based conferencing software; should be skilled at presenting and positioning software at the user, technical and executive levels; and should be self motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology. Must possess excellent presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
