BOUTIQUE MANAGER:
The Boutique Manager is responsible for managing the day to day boutique operations and staff. The Boutique Manager will generate and drive sales and sales performance, ensure outstanding client service, maximize profits by controlling expenses, coach, mentor and develop the Assistant Manager, train all store personnel, and protect company assets.
Primary Responsibilities
* Maintain an environment focused on achieving sales and profit goals
* Manage all training programs for selling skills, client service, products and operations
* Ensure superior level of customer service is given at all times
* Coach, train, motivate and lead by example using a high degree of professionalism and good judgment
* Conduct monthly coaching sessions with staff to communicate objectives, set goals and follow up on progress according to Individual Development Plans
* Maintain a cohesive, cooperative work environment through team building and motivation
* Recruit, hire and develop top sales and management professionals, and maintaining an active candidate pool
* Facilitate and ensure the successful induction of new employees
* Manage and maintain personnel files and communicate all information regarding benefits to staff
* Manage time, establish priorities and delegate effectively to meet goals and objectives
* Resolve client issues, requests in an efficient and quick manner
* Utilize and maintain client database for phone calls, product launches, events and appointments
* Control all store expenses within budget guidelines
* Create and manage shift schedules and process payroll information accurately
* Complete all required paperwork in the designated timeframe and ensure accuracy
* Maintain all inventory control policies and procedures and take responsibility for boutique’s inventory, including annual physical inventory.
* Accountable for communicating merchandise needs to District Manager on a timely basis
* Follow and implement all corporate visual presentation standards and guidelines
* Maintain consistent, uncompromising high standards for cleanliness, presentation, marketing, and client service.
* Adhere to and enforce all operational policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
o Minimum 5 years retail sales experience; at least 2-3 years of previous management experience in a service-oriented environment
o Specialty store management preferred, cosmetic sales experience a plus
o Goal oriented with a successful sales record
o High school diploma required, college degree a plus
o Ability to manage store operations independently
o Experience analyzing financial reports
o Strong leadership skills, with ability to coach and mentor others
o Successful in managing and supervising people using good judgment and fair employment practices
o Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
o Successful recruiting track record
o Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
o Professional attitude and ability to be flexible and handle change in a positive manner
o Must be able to work weekends and evenings
o Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
