Job Title: Clinical Consultant


About Natus Medical Incorporated: Natus is a leading provider of healthcare products used for screening, detection, treatment, monitoring and tracking of common medical ailments such as hearing impairment, neurological dysfunction, epilepsy, sleep disorders, newborn jaundice and newborn metabolic testing.


SUMMARY:  Responsible for pre- and post-educational support of all products.



  1. Stay up-to-date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers.

  2. Educate and train clinicians on Bio-Logic and Natus products.

  3. Support the Dealer network by conducting training classes and seminars.

  4. Participate in the Bio-Logic hosted seminars and practice sessions.

  5. Develop cost and time effective plan for supporting the educational needs of assigned territory.

  6. Assist with production evaluations and demonstrations.

  7. Attend trade shows as directed.

  8. Provide troubleshooting expertise to customers.

  9. Develop relationships with key individuals at the state level to promote and/or enhance the company’s alliance with them.

  10. Manage day-to-day home office/clerical responsibilities.

  11. Maintain fiscal responsibility, adhering to corporate expense guidelines.

  12. Serve as a clinical liaison with cross-functional teams throughout Natus.

  13. Troubleshoot accounts as required and serve as a liaison with Technical Service.

  14. Serve as professional role model within the organization.

Education and/or Experience:
Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or equivalent; or more than ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.


Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Degree in Audiology with Au.D. or Ph.D.


Other Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with special terminology such as medical, legal or scientific terms. Emphasis in auditory evoked potential testing
