Description
.NET Web Developer
WhittmanHart has an immediate need for a .NET Developer to join our interactive web development team in a highly collaborative, fast-paced professional setting. This position will be located in our Chicago office. The ideal candidate has a bachelor degree in a related field or equivalent work experience and is interested in learning from a group of developers to build on that foundation.
 
Responsibilities:

    * Build and maintain websites based on the latest .NET frameworks, coordinating tasks with cross-functional teams, under the direction of a Technical Lead
    * Work in all phases of the project lifecycle
    * Apply generally accepted programming standards and techniques to ensure efficient application logic and data manipulation
    * Analyze and participate in reviews of business requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints, under the direction of a Technical Lead
    * Debug and unit test modules before deployment to QA environment
    * Create and maintain project documentation, in accordance with established standards
    * Communicate daily status to project management team and participate in developer team meetings

 
Requirements:

    * Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required
    * Understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts
    * Working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
    * Well-versed in programming languages such as C# and VB.net
    * Experience researching third party vendors is a plus
    * Understanding how to set up IIS websites is a plus
    * Strong analytic capabilities with the ability to express that analysis in common formats, such as UML, data models, object models, etc.
    * Flexible and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
    * Able to utilize experience and judgment to plan around milestone schedules
    * Strong written and oral communication skills
    * Ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced, client-services environment
