Role:



 



 


Corporate Communications encompasses a variety of functions, including but not limited to: public

relations, media relations, community relations and employee relations. The Director of Corporate


Communications will be responsible to drive corporate messaging initiatives and product promotion to a


multifaceted audience, including national, local and trade media, employee communications worldwide,


and customers through press announcements and events, the corporate website, internal


communications and philanthropic endeavors.




Responsibilities:



1. Develop and direct global communications strategies that provide news and information to the


Company’s internal and external stakeholders, and implement tactics that disseminate the Company’s


mission, vision and vales and programs


2. Identify and manage opportunities to promote the Company and its products through trade industry


associations, product placement opportunities, and CEO publicity opportunities, among others.


3. Work collaboratively with the U.S. Marketing division to develop strategic media programs for top


brands and licenses targeting consumer, trade and home media.


4. Organize and direct all crisis communications programs in the U.S. and internationally, including


employee communications, supplier and customer relations, and media outreach.


5. Develop and maintain a Corporate Social Responsibility strategic initiative designed to strengthen the


Company’s commitment to its employees and the communities in which it serves, through volunteer


opportunities, fundraising and/or product donations.

Experience, Competencies, and Education:

10-15 years experience in working in an agency and/or corporate public relations environment



?



 



 


BA in Communications, Journalism or Marketing, MBA preferred



?



 



 


Accomplished writer for the media; pitch development and story placement experience a must



?



 



 


Highly developed communication and cross functional facilitation skills.



?



 



 


Ability to build and sustain positive business relationships internally and externally



?



 



 


Experience with management of outside PR agency required



?



 



 


Must be well organized and able to support many projects concurrently with tight deadlines.
