Position: Project Employee (contract), Graphics & Multimedia Team

Basic Responsibilities
The Graphics & Multimedia Design Project Employee reports directly to the Senior Manager of the Graphics & Multimedia Team, joining a national team of corporate graphic, multimedia, and web designers. This individual will provide graphic design, multimedia, web design and basic html programming support to Navigant Consulting’s marketing, corporate, administrative and consulting professionals. Typical projects consist of print, multimedia and/or web-related design. Navigant Consulting’s environment is Windows OS using suites of Adobe Master Collection and Microsoft Office applications. The position offers the opportunity for creativity in a dynamic, team-based cutting-edge environment. Professional design ability and experience, creative collaboration and excellent project management skills are requisite.
Specific Responsibilities
· Design marketing collateral (brochures, brochure inserts, advertisements, reports) and internal/ external communications
· Web design and site development skills
· Prepare eMarketing materials such as invitations (evites) and other electronic communications
· Assist in capture, compilation and/or editing of multimedia in alignment with Navigant Consulting design and brand standards
· Prepare professionally designed marketing, corporate or client presentations and templates in InDesign, Word or PowerPoint, incorporating the firm’s brand standards
· Participate in design-related marketing conference calls as necessary
Technical/Software Applications Proficiencies
· Adobe Master Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
· Windows XP, Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced PowerPoint and Word)
· Web design skills (Dreamweaver, HTML) skills
Business/Professional Requirements
· Undergraduate degree in Design, Computer Graphics or a related field, or equivalent graphic design work-related experience
· Commitment to and understanding of the importance of maintenance of brand and design standards
· Team player and creative collaborator with excellent project management skills
· Ability and willingness to quickly learn new programs and apply new design techniques
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Detail-oriented, ability to follow directions with a minimum of instruction, and requiring little supervision
· Responsive and enthusiastic, demonstrating willingness to do what it takes to get the job done, under pressure to meet tight deadlines
· Project-oriented, willing to take responsibility for the development and completion of projects
· Ability to envision creative ways to leverage online ideas and technologies.
· Maintain quality control and assurance testing to ensure integrity and quality of all deliverables
Additional Skills (preferred but not required)
· Basic to Intermediate Flash animation programming skills
· Adobe Master Suite multimedia applications (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Soundbooth)
· Hand or vector-based drawing skills
· Experience with professional printers, terminologies and processes
· Proficiency and experience using common industry design tools in addition to Adobe and Microsoft suites
· Knowledge of web production process (code management, build process, testing)
· PHP, Flash Actionscript, XML, HTML
· Familiarity with web standards and implementation of SEO
