Job Description:


Position Summary:


Responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market


strategy and achieving marketing targets. Specific responsibilities include business and


market development; market research and planning; strategic direction for promotion


and advertising; coordination with sales.


Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:


1. Develops the annual marketing plan and the strategies; tactics and resources


necessary to achieve system and goals.


2. Provides leadership and supports the design, development, and implementation of


products and service lines.


3. Ensures all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan


objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources.


4. Interacts regularly with executive team and functional heads to ensure that


company’s marketing priorities are aligned with total company direction.


5. Provides marketing skills and expertise to the company by building, developing and


managing a marketing team capable of carrying out the necessary marketing


strategies and tactics.


6. Develop and manage marketing budgets, and oversee the development and


management of internal operating budgets.


7. Works closely with global counterparts to ensure consistent branding and leveraging


of products. Leads marketing efforts on global brands contained in their portfolio.


8. Presents strategic and tactical plans to executive management as requested.


9. Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives and


operating procedures.


10. Represent the company at various business meetings and trade shows to promote


the company in a positive, professional manner.


11. Manage subordinate staff to achieve corporate, functional, departmental and


personal objectives.


12. All other duties as assigned


Experience, Competencies, and Education:


1. Related Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Masters Degree preferred.


2. 10-15 years of experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in


classical marketing for a consumer products company.


3. Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business


and market development and market research and planning for a consumer products


company.


4. Exceptional written and verbal communications ability.


5. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and


simultaneously manage several projects.


6. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
