Position Description


The Director of Corporate Partnerships manages the charitable relationship with a portfolio of Feeding America’s principal corporate partners. The position reports to Vice President of Philanthropy / Corporate Partnerships.


Job Responsibilities



  • Serves as account manager integrating all high level activity with an assigned list of corporate supporters of Feeding America.

  • Manages donor strategy for this portfolio of relationships in concert with the CDO and VP of Philanthropy/Corporate Partnerships. This strategy includes integrating donations of food and funds as well as promotions and advocacy.

  • Serves as a key member of philanthropy management within the department.

  • Builds a collaborative relationship with member food banks for the linkage of corporate partnerships between local and national levels.

  •  Increase the overall fundraising from corporations by 15% a year through stronger account management and building on new and existing relationships.

  • Support Feeding America’s full portfolio of interests: food, funds, promotion and advocacy with corporations under management bringing in the subject matter experts for these areas at appropriate times.

  • Manage a personal portfolio of at least five key corporate relationships.

  • Mentor less experienced corporate partnership staff members in account management.


Application Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Advanced degree desirable.

  • Six years or more of experience in managing high level donor relationships.

  • Demonstrated experience with major account management and with fundraising.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience in cultivating multi-million gifts including developing donor strategies, solicitation approaches and donor stewardship.

  • Ability to bring in colleagues for collaboration on the entire spectrum of interests at Feeding America: food, funds, promotion and advocacy.

  • A deep commitment to the mission of Feeding America.
