General Comments

This position is the key analytic resource to support the design and development of best-in-market Informatics package for both Providers and Accounts. Specifically, this position will be responsible for creating reports and analysis to support the translation of strategies into meaningful information for all key stakeholders including Provider/Account Informatics Unit, Trend Management Unit, and Provider Financial Management Unit. The position will also perform analysis to support the development of strategies such as benchmarking and other comparative cuts of data. This position must perform their own data extractions and manipulations and must have strong analytical and communication skills in order to identify and communicate key observations and make recommendations.

Key questions for candidates: What is your experience with Development and use of PC applications for data analysis, specifically spreadsheet and database systems (MS Excel, MS Access, COGNOS Impromptu) ? What level ability do you have to perform basic programming, program design and development using SAS? Describe your communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to both internal and external customers of varying levels within an organization? Tell me about your ability to recognize data-related problems, being able to recommend potential solutions, and who you can implement those solutions? Candidates MUST HAVE healthcare background - Health insurance/managed care/HMO
