The ideal candidate will offer hands-on and distance training in all areas of food and dining operations such as:

* Supports Divisional, Regional and on-site dining services management staff to achieve operating efficiencies in quality of food and beverage and resident satisfaction
* Maintains and manages all food safety/sanitation and menu management programs utilized in dining services
* Works with the procurement department to implement new purchasing initiatives and manage current purchasing programs.
* Oversee and manages corporate dietician and all nutrition related programs
* Provides training as needed and leadership for associates, proactively solving problems and issues
* Compiles daily, weekly and monthly progress reports on all initiatives and projects assigned by supervisors
* Stays current on all Food Safety and Sanitation Codes, ensures all government regulations are adhered to
* Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with Corporate, Divisional and Regional Dining Services personnel
* Promotes Brookdale Living Communities in a positive manner and sets the example for company?s standards of excellence
* Adheres to all policies and procedures of the company
* Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisors.




We seek the following qualifications:

* Education Minimum of Bachelor?s degree in Business or in a related field
* 7 + years supervisory experience in senior housing hospitality required, must understand older adult market
* 5 + years of Regional and or Divisional experience.
* Maintains a valid Serv-Safe Certification
* Knowledgeable of all aspects of food service positions with food and beverage background.
* High degree of accuracy in all assignments
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* High degree of initiative and creativity, and good judgment.
* Employs professional work ethics, excellent communication skills and ability to motivate
* Ability to travel, work evenings, weekends
* Computer literate especially use of Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point
* Ability to work well under stress

This is a hands-on working manager position which requires cooking, cleaning, cleaning dishes and building relationships with other key managers. Candidate must also supervise the kitchen and dining room while serving three meals daily. The ideal candidate will have a background in Healthcare.
