We are currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer to provide technical solutions for our Wet Mill operations.
Key Result Areas: Engineering - Provide engineering studies, designs and justifications for approval to support Operations' goals. Manage project within budget, delivering targeted return on investment, in compliance with Corn Products' ethics, safety and engineering standards.
Projects - Execute projects (establish and meet budget and schedule, supervise construction, train personnel, supervise startup, coordination with QC/QA, safety, health and environmental, and maintenance as appropriate) or to be a member of a project team that executes projects. Demonstrate that completed projects meet the design objectives and ensure that documentation is updated when the projects are completed.
Production - Maintain historical data, to analyze and monitor key efficiencies and parameters against design to assist Operations with troubleshooting and meeting costs and production goals. To assist operations in continuous training to maintain Operator's proficiency.
Safety - Provide technical support to the plant safety professional on facility safety initiatives when designing and/or redesigning work processes to eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses.
Technology - Keep current in discipline, assess new technologies and ideas, develop, evaluate, and seek approval for new concepts to improve the efficiency and the capability of the process, the life of the facility, and the product quality.
Manufacturing Supplies - Monitor plant processes for use of manufacturing supplies, and utilities. Implement systems and programs that maintain or exceed quality and production goals while minimizing supply costs.
Selection Criteria:
1.) Knowledge and understanding of Corn Refining process or similar manufacturing process, and systems involved in its operation such as basic chemistry, heat and material balances, P&ID development, mechanical and physical/chemical separations, evaporation, crystallization, drying, material handling, CGMP, and energy management. 2.) Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement action plans and follow-up to assure effective results. 3.) Ability to successfully manage and implement multiple capital projects, permits, and perform engineering functions in a plant environment. 4.) Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information and prepare concisely written reports. 5.) Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, build consensus, and foster relationships at multiple organization levels and across different organizational functions. 6.) Demonstrated degree of sound judgment, resourcefulness, initiative, and innovation in handling complex technical assignments, with minimal supervision. 7.) Bachelor degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. 8.) A minimum of 2 years related experience is required. |
