Department/Program: La Posada Interim Housing for Homeless Families

Reports to: Program Director

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Child & Youth Services Coordinator. Assists in planning, developing and organizing the activities of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program. The employee will contribute with the Agency’s efforts related to prevention and integrated service delivery with other community providers. The employee will be actively involved and knowledgeable of the Agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement Activities. Employee is expected to support and contribute to inter-system collaboration with other service providers to improve social service delivery systems. Assists in developing short and long term plan for activities. Maintains participants’ records. Participants in program’s activities. Assists in planning organizing and developing all activities, seminars, workshops, etc. Helps in compiling program statistics and in the preparation of reports. Assists in the coordination of activities with other La Posada Components. Assists in providing on-going support for comprehensive client needs including health, housing and employment. Assists in the implementation of the expressive shared activities such as peer group projects; art, reading and crafts designed to develop confidence and promote participant self-esteem. Ensures maintenance and controls usage of instructional materials and equipment. Other duties as assigned. Assists in child care when needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or the equivalent.

Language Skills:

Bilingual/Bicultural in Spanish and English with good written communication skills in both languages.
