TITLE:
Regional Program Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
This position reports directly to the Director of Remediation Consulting & Engineering. Position is accountable for developing and implementing market strategy and business plan for environmental liability valuation and management consulting services on a global level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development and implementation of a market strategy and business plan for delivery of environmental liability (EL) valuation and management consulting services on a global level.
EL valuation services includes assisting corporate and governmental clients with identifying, evaluating and quantifying costs and financial risks for environmental closure, post-closure, remediation, corrective measures, reclamation, response, restoration, and asset retirement actions primarily for compliance with relevant accounting and disclosure standards (and secondarily for other purposes such as corporate transactions, insurance coverage, and cost recovery).
EL management consulting services includes benchmarking, business process re-engineering, design and implementation of management information systems, training, and independent review of clients’ environmental liabilities.
Work closely with Market Sector Leaders (Oil & Gas, Energy/Utility, Manufacturing, Chemical/Pharmaceutical, MGP, etc), other Practice Area Leaders, sales managers, as well as Remediation C&E Director to identify existing clients that should be targeted for EL service and implement EL market strategy and business plan.
Manage EL key target tracking system and regularly update
Directly participate in the capture planning for all major/strategic EL opportunities
Serve as Project Director and/or Manager on defined major/strategic EL projects including annual EL report to Congress for Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) for US Army Corps of Engineers.
Srve as AECOM representative on the RACER Steering Committee (RSC); attend annual RSC meetings and provide technical direction and QA/QC on major RACER deliverables.
Serve as AECOM Environmental representative to ASTM GSR Development Committee and provide routine input, standard development, etc and communicate program progress.
Support project execution initiatives on existing strategic projects, especially those with potential for follow-up work.
Identify key global resources that can support sales and delivery of EL services and direct EL Technical Practice Area (TPA).
Work to integrate/cross-train key RC&E and other appropriate AECOM staff into EL projects and programs.
Actively participate in and visibly support AECOM Environment H&S Program including development of any specific EL H&S practices.
Participate in key RC&E activities:
This position reports directly to the Director of Remediation Consulting & Engineering. Position is accountable for developing and implementing market strategy and business plan for environmental liability valuation and management consulting services on a global level.
SPECIFIC GOALS:
Billable Hours: To stay connected with key accounts, key customers, technologies, –utilization goal of 16 - 20 hours per week, distributing billability among the various EL projects including annual USACE FUDS and NJNG MGP projects. Serve as technical advisor and/or provide QA/QC on major EL deliverables for key clients.
Define Market Strategy: Work closely with Sector Leaders and Remediation C&E Director to develop EL strategy and business plan. Deliver plans w/in 60 days (prior to end of Q1).
Prepare and deliver capabilities briefings to inform existing and prospective clients of AECOM’s EL qualifications and experience so as to generate proposal opportunities.
Develop SOQ, “library” of standard proposal materials, and other promotional materials (e.g., periodic client newsletters informing clients of new developments).
Support Proposals: Develop close working relationship with Market Sector leads and senior sales managers, direct and/or prepare strategic proposals and participate in presentations.
Reporting: Provide Quarterly reports highlighting H&S, proposals, projects, and accomplishments.
Innovation: Match client’s needs with emerging EL accounting and disclosure standards and best practices.
Market Awareness and Branding: Give at least one presentation relevant to EL valuation and/or management systems at a conference per year. Coordinate participation by key AECOM Environment staff to showcase AECOM EL capabilities, experience, and project success stories globally.
Risk Management: act as “focal point” for EL opportunities/proposals falling under the categories requiring pre-screening from the Office of Risk Management.
Training: develop internal training for key AECOM Environment staff re: relevant accounting and reporting standards for environmental liabilities.
