Job Description:
This is a key member of the Enterprise Decision Analytics group at Sears Holding leading Performance measurement. This leader will manage marketing analytics, particularly marketing mix modeling, test and learn initiatives and other analytics techniques to drive business impact through improved marketing investment and portfolio decisions.
The centralized group is comprised of experienced analytic resources with diverse backgrounds in academia and industry augmented by leading edge tools. The team serves the Holding Company (e.g. CEO, CFO), Operating (e.g. Home Appliances, Food and Consumables) and Support (e.g. Marketing) Business Units
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Help lead test design, execution and analysis within Sears Holdings
- Assist Marketing effectiveness function at Sears holdings, including marketing mix modeling and other advanced analytical methods
- Develop partnerships across the businesses and functional areas of the organization
- Provide leadership and training: Identify and develop a strong team to deliver on organization goals
- Benchmark best practices for a “test and learn” environment
- Develop meaningful metrics for evaluating initiatives
- Provide recommendations for action based on business knowledge and analytical expertise
- Prioritize opportunities to maximize value (EBITDA, GM$, ROI) based on analysis
- Prepare and presents recommendations for senior management
- Fosters teamwork and works well in a collaborative team environment
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
- Multi-channel experience preferred – familiar with both in-store/branch and online analytics
- Experience and expertise with financial, statistical, and marketing concepts
- Experience and expertise with research/test design
- Active curiosity—Must be enjoy gathering and digging deeply into data to identify issues, patterns and solve problems
- Project planning and management skills
- Highly skilled in problem solving and managing priorities
- Proficient with analytical and presentation software: Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- 5-8+ years professional experience in: Customer relationship management, management consulting, retail, investment banking or strategic analysis
- Bachelors degree from four year college or university; MBA preferred.
