Position Overview:

The ERP Project Manager is responsible for the management of the implementation of Lawson software applications and the subsequent operational support and enhancements. The initial Lawson implementation (9.0 release) includes G/L, A/P, fixed assets, and materials management. Subsequent modules to be implemented include Talent Management and a budgeting solution (which may be third party). The project management responsibilities include coordinating IT and vendor resources with business operations project resources to support effective implementation of the Lawson project plan within established scope, timeline and budget.

Additionally, the position will be responsible for the ongoing operational management of legacy financial and human resource systems until they are migrated to the Lawson platform.

The ERP Project Manager will have a direct reporting team consisting of four employees and multiple consultants. Projects will occur in a matrix fashion with resources from the operational departments being utilized as necessary.

Responsibilities:

§        Provides leadership and management to direct reports and contract staff

§        Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business process needs and the systems that support them

§        Prioritizes business needs and create/execute project plans to support those needs

§        Identify and manage project resources and ensure tasks are completed on time and on budget

§        Assist in the development of policies and procedures for the usage of IS

§        Applies LEAN THINKING principles to day to day application management and support

Education and Experience Level:

The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration. The ideal individual will have 5 years of ERP experience using Lawson software.

Technical requirements necessary include:

§        Solid understanding of appropriate workflows, commercially available technology, relational database concepts, and package system implementations

§       Functional experience with project management, requirements gathering, design patterns, test plans, and formal testing are required
