We are currently looking for an Associate Lab Analyst-Security to join our Security department in Skokie, IL.
JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Lab Analyst - Security is responsible for assisting with all hardware and software implementations, proof of concepts, and demonstrations in the Forsythe Technical Evaluation Center. This position is key to helping the Lab Manager provide solutions to Forsythe product managers so they can evaluate and choose the correct technologies to bring to our customer base. The Security Lab Analyst will be a dedicated resource for solutions at Forsythe
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support Lab Manager in working with product manager and vendors to identify solutions to implement in the lab. Assist in the creation of reusable demo scripts to use with customers, vendors, and solution architects. Provides recommendations for the methodology for testing the products, improving the methodology over time, testing the products to that spec and producing reports to feedback to each vendor on test results
· Conduct Proof of Concept testing for internal evaluation and for customers
· Work with Solutions Engineering and associate consultant for documentation
· Work with Solution Architects to provide training and certification help when necessary
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related degree preferred
· 0-2+ years hands on experience working with security technologies
· Capability to learn new security protocols and new technologies
· General knowledge of security protocols, applications, and industry terms (firewalls, VPN set-up, IOS, etc.)
· Strong presentation and business acumen skills required
· Detail orientation to deliver high quality work with little supervision
· Strong written communication still to document standard operating procedures
· Must be able to present value proposition to customers
· Ability to work with and meet deadlines as well as ability to work in a team atmosphere
· Ability to work a flexible schedule as some nights and weekends may be needed as times
· Specific security certifications a plus
