POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist the commercial real estate lending officers in developing, documenting, closing, funding, booking and maintaining the commercial real estate portfolio, while ensuring that each loan is in compliance with loan policy and regulatory requirements, as well as contributing to the meeting of departmental goals and objectives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
# High School diploma or equivalent work experience
# Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred
# Course work in business, real estate, finance and/or accounting
# Minimum of 2 years loan administration/loan documentation and/or lending experience, including real estate loan closing experience
# Excellent communication and problem solving skills
# High proficiency in computer skills
# Decision making skills and ability to prioritize workload
# Ability to work independently
# Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
# Ability to mentor and guide other real estate loan administrators
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
# Efficiently and accurately prepare all paperwork necessary to book/fund and maintain every type of commercial real estate loan.
# Order and evaluate real estate loan documentation.
# Organize real estate loan closings. This includes working with lending officers, customers, brokers, appraisers, attorneys, title company personnel and various other and specialists/vendors, in order to close every type of commercial real estate loan in a timely manner.
# Continually maintain commercial real estate loans (i.e., modifications, extensions, letters of credit, updated financial information, release deeds, etc.).
# Recognize and pose solutions to resolve issues which may not be in compliance with loan policy or regulatory requirements.
# Process line of credit advances, pay downs, P&I payments and wire transfers.
# Train, teach and mentor other commercial real estate administrators
# Create and maintain credit files, prepare correspondence, copy and file documents.
# Assist all loan officers and credit analysts in basic administrative duties or special projects.
# Prepare, copy and distribute daily overdraft reports, memo's correspondence, etc. as directed.
# Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities for offices with small builder activity:
# Review contractor/owner's statements to determine if draw request is appropriate and loan is in balance based on current and previous draw requests. Submit draw request to lender for review and approval.
# Order inspection reports and submit report to lender for review
# Obtain date down endorsements from Title Company.
# Complete all forms to fund draw request
# Maintain and update all computer spreads to reflect status of project accurately.
