Job Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Position is responsible for the daily monitoring and maintenance of the Bank’s collateral monitored accounts consisting of Commercial Banking and Mortgage Warehouse clients. Portfolio of monitored accounts will include all levels of monitoring – Level “A” through “D”, Special Assets, and credits that have special monitoring requirements or require a high degree of experience/expertise.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
An individual who successfully performs in this position will be able to satisfy the following essential functions:
1) Maintains accuracy of current collateral values and loan balances as it relates to the Commercial Lending and Mortgage Warehouse portfolios.
2) Aggressively pursues, maintains and completes daily, weekly and monthly data to reflect the most current collateral and loan position possible at all times including current weekly/monthly ineligible calculations and reconciliations.
3) Uses proven procedures, questions unusual items and proactively identifies and investigates trends, irregularities and early warning signs for deterioration of collateral.
4) Addresses daily overdraft and over-advance issues in cooperation/coordination with relationship and credit management.
6) Provides cross training to junior representatives as needed.
7) Maintains up-to-date, well-organized documentation and files.
8) Serve as back up for other Collateral Analysts.
9) Conduct other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
1.Education equivalent to 4 years of college or equivalent experience.
2.8-12 years of experience as a Collateral Analyst working with collateral systems and procedures in an asset based and/or commercial lending environment
3.P.C. literate, Windows 2000/XP and Office 2000/XP experience preferred
4.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
5.Enhanced working knowledge of systems and operations.
6.Knowledge/experience in loan documentation preferred.
7.Ability to exercise prudent judgment to make decisions affecting both customers and the Bank
8.Outstanding customer service skills –ability to deal with internal as well as external customers
9.Capable of working in a high stress, fast-paced environment
