Business Unit Overview:
Tax provides comprehensive tax services and specialized expertise to businesses, individuals, trusts, estates, non-profit and governmental entities and associations. Comprehensive services include compliance (preparation), planning and consulting and various outsourcing projects. Tax serves clients in all fields, with particular emphasis in manufacturing, financial institutions, distribution, agribusiness, construction, healthcare, exempt organizations and private equity.
Responsibilities:
As a Tax Manager, you will be called upon to deliver professional services to clients, including consulting, tax planning, compliance, and research. This will involve performing management activities on engagements, and will require the ability to manage numerous projects independently. You will be developing high level relationships with clients and performing detailed tasks on engagements while delegating and supervising others.
Responsibilities:

Your role will include identifying and implementing tax planning and consulting opportunities, preparation and review of client tax calculations, management of client tax relationships and supervising and developing staff. Must have the ability to manage client relationships, multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Manage, direct and monitor multiple client engagements as well as serve as a business advisor to the client.

Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and tax savings strategies for existing clients.

Research and consult on complex tax matters.
*
Ability to manage, mentor and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment.
Qualifications:
*
BS in Accounting required. Masters in Taxation or LLM is a plus.
*
Minimum of six (6) to nine (9) years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend.
*
CPA required.
*
Proven engagement and staff management skills.
*
Ability to work independently to meet business objectives.
*
Ability to manage and grow strong client relationships.
*
Possess effective writing, communication and tax research skills.
*
Knowledge of Subchapter C and consolidated returns required.
*
Working knowledge of FAS 109 required.
*
Working knowledge of FIN 48 is a plus.
*
Experience with financial institutions is a plus.
*
Experience with flow through entities is a plus.
*
Multi-state experience is a plus.
