This position is a part of the Risk Consulting Operations team. The Financial Manager supports the Risk Consulting BU in all matters pertaining to financial operations management. This includes financial reporting and analysis, financial planning, forecasting and engagement and AR management with an emphasis on financial controls and process improvements. This position will work directly with BU and Operations Leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Reporting and Analysis – Analyzes and interprets periodic financial data to BU management accurately and on a timely basis. Provides commentary and insights on performance against plan and prior year
- Financial Planning and Forecasting – Prepares the fiscal yearly plan for BU by analyzing historical data in conjunction with future growth plans and desired firm metrics. Prepares periodic forecasts for BU management
- Engagement Management – Monitors engagements to ensure accurate accounting of revenue and maximum profitability throughout the engagement. Works with partners and engagement management leaders to ensure process is properly reported
- WIP/AR Management – Monitors both billed and unbilled receivables to ensure timely billing and collections, as well as opening and closing of engagements. Provides consultation to partners in AR process and relates the financial impact thereof
- Develop operational knowledge of BiRT, Elite, Retain and Onyx as necessary to incorporate corresponding information into financial forecasting and historical analysis
- Receive and submit vendor invoices for approval and payment
- Coordination with Marketing on marketing plans and budgets
- Special projects as requested by Risk Leadership and Risk Operations Executive
- Serve as a liaison between Risk and Firmwide Financial Services
