theWit, a Doubletree Hotel, is looking for an Accounts Receivables Specialist. The A/R Specialist is responsible for the A/R function of theWit, including Credit Approval, Direct Billing, and Payment Processing. Acting as Liaison between, Sales, Catering, F&B, Front Office and Accounting.
Responsibilities include, but are never limited to: * Work closely with Sales, Catering, F&B, and Front Office to ensure Group Billing requirements can be achieved, suggest alternatives when applicable, and follow up on accuracy of approved items. * Prepare all Direct Bill Invoices within Policy & Procedure Guidelines. * Maintain proper record keeping in regards to Direct Bill Applications, A/R Accounts, Write offs/Bad Debt, Adjustments, and A/R Aging. * Communicate with Controller/Assistant Controller, on status of all maintained records as well as with Sales, Catering, F&B, and Front Office. * Follow up with client to ensure receipt of bill, review client questions, resolve discrepancies, and collect payment. * Post all payments relating to A/R. * Hold a Monthly Credit Meeting * Attend Pre/Post Convention Meetings and all Resume/Contract review meetings * Actively involved in ensuring clean internal and external audit reports. * Coordinate and ensure that all daily, semi-monthly and monthly A/R reports are issued on a timely and accurate basis. * Assist the departments in the interpretation of A/R matters. * Represent the Accounting office by actively contributing to the overall success and direction of the hotel. * Other tasks as assigned |

Skills Required:
Proven skills with retrieving and analyzing credit worthiness, Excellent administrative, interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills, Solid understanding/comprehension of general A/R procedures and familiarity with hotel operating systems and software, including PMS, POS, Delphi, Excel, and Word. You'll need an ability to create a motivating work environment driving our Whatever It Takes attitude. Additional Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance * 3+ years of hotel accounting experience
